Privacy Policy

The short version

3310 Squadron has no account of its own and never asks you for personal details. It shows ads, and the Google advertising SDK that serves them collects an advertising identifier. It reports crashes and anonymous gameplay statistics to Google Firebase, so that faults can be fixed and the difficulty can be tuned. And if — only if — you choose to sign in to Google Play Games, your Play Games display name and your best score appear on a public leaderboard. That is the whole of it.

What stays on your device

The following are saved on your device and are never transmitted to us or to anyone else:

  • your sound, music and haptics settings
  • which ship skins you have unlocked, and which one you have equipped
  • whether you have purchased the ad removal

Your high score is also stored on your device. It is the one item in this list that can leave it, and only when you have signed in to Play Games — see the leaderboard section below.

Uninstalling the app deletes the local copies. There is no cloud save, so this data cannot be recovered afterwards.

The leaderboard

The global leaderboard is provided by Google Play Games Services, and it is entirely optional. If you never sign in to Play Games, nothing in this section happens to you: no score is sent, the leaderboard button does not appear, and the game is unaffected.

If you do sign in:

  • Your Play Games display name and your best score are sent to Google and shown on a leaderboard that every other player can see. This is public information, not merely shared with Google.
  • Your existing best score is sent once when you sign in, and thereafter whenever you beat it. Nothing else about your play is sent this way.
  • We do not receive your Google account, your email address, or your real name. We see the same leaderboard everybody else does.

Your display name is one you chose in Play Games and can change there. Whether you appear on a public leaderboard at all is governed by the profile visibility setting in the Play Games app — set it to private and your scores stay off the public board.

To remove yourself: Play Games lets you delete your Play Games data for an individual game, which removes your scores from the leaderboard. It can be done from the Play Games app or from play.google.com/games/profile, and Google documents the current route at Delete your Play Games data or Play Games profile. Signing out stops any further scores being sent.

What the ads collect

Ads are served by Google AdMob. The Google Mobile Ads SDK collects and processes data for ad delivery, frequency capping, and fraud prevention — principally your device's advertising ID, along with coarse device and network information. We do not receive this data ourselves; we see only aggregate earnings reports.

Google's handling of that data is governed by its own policies:

You can reset or delete your advertising ID at any time in Android's Settings → Privacy → Ads.

Crash reports and gameplay statistics

The app uses Google Firebase Crashlytics and Google Analytics for Firebase.

When the app crashes, Crashlytics sends a report so the fault can be found and fixed. A report contains the technical details of the failure — the error and the code path that produced it — plus the state of your current run (which level, which loop, your score and lives, and the ship skin equipped) and standard device information: model, operating system version, available memory and storage, and a randomly generated installation identifier. It does not contain your name, your email address, or anything you have typed.

Analytics records anonymous gameplay events: runs started and ended, levels reached and cleared, bosses defeated, rewarded ads accepted or declined, ship skins unlocked, and the ad-removal purchase. These exist to answer questions like "which level is too hard" and "does anyone use this skin". They are reported as counts across all players.

One piece of progress is also kept against your anonymous app installation rather than only counted as it happens: the furthest level and loop you have ever reached. It is what allows the count of players on each stage of the game to be a headcount instead of a total that counts the same person once per attempt. It is a level number and a loop number, it replaces its own previous value rather than building a history, and it is not joined to anything else. Nothing in any of this identifies you, and no part of it is a profile used to decide what you are shown.

Neither is used for advertising, and neither is sold or shared with anyone outside Google's role as the processor running the service.

Firebase's handling of this data is governed by firebase.google.com/support/privacy.

Consent, if you are in the EEA or the UK

Before any ad is requested, the app shows Google's User Messaging Platform consent form, which asks whether you agree to personalised advertising. You can change your answer at any time from Settings → Privacy inside the game.

If you decline, ads are either non-personalised or not shown at all, and gameplay analytics is switched off entirely. The game itself is unaffected — no feature is withheld for declining, and rewarded ads that grant a continue still hand you the continue.

Crash reporting continues either way. It carries no advertising identifier and is not used to profile you or to target anything at you; it exists solely so that a crash you hit can be fixed. If you would rather not send crash reports at all, uninstalling the app stops them.

Purchases

The remove-ads purchase is processed by Google Play. We never see your payment details. Play tells the app only whether the item is owned. Refunds are handled by Google Play under their terms.

Children

This app is rated for ages 13 and over and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided data through this app, contact jaironlanda@gmail.com and we will act on it.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal data, and to object to it or withdraw consent.

Because the app holds no account and stores nothing about you on our systems, most requests are satisfied by one of three things: uninstalling the app (which erases everything it stored), resetting your advertising ID (which severs the ad identifier), or deleting your Play Games data for this game (which removes your name and score from the leaderboard). For anything else — including requests aimed at data held by Google as our advertising partner — write to jaironlanda@gmail.com and we will respond within 30 days.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, the effective date above changes and the updated policy is published at the same URL before the change takes effect.
